The Breton National Party (PNB) is deeply saddened by the loss of Patricia Bridson, known as Padraigin Mylevreeshey, an iconic figure of Manx nationalism and a tireless advocate for inter-Celtic solidarity. Her lifelong dedication to the preservation of Manx culture, language, and autonomy, alongside her unwavering support for the Breton cause, leaves an indelible mark on the Celtic nations.
Under the great breton patriot Alan Heussaf, Patricia’s work with the Celtic League, particularly as editor of Carn for 28 years, gave a powerful voice to the struggles of the Breton people against the cultural and linguistic oppression imposed by the French State. Her commitment to the reunification Brittany and her vocal defense of the Breton language inspired generations of activists. She embodied the spirit of unity among Celtic nations, seeing in Brittany’s fight for identity a mirror of her own battle for the Isle of Man.
We honor her legacy by reaffirming our resolve to fight for a sovereign Brittany, free from the shackles of the French State, and to strengthen the bonds between our Celtic peoples. Patricia’s vision of a proud, united Celtic world will continue to guide us.
Slane lhiat, Padraigin.
